AMI Expeditionary Healthcare is Hiring an Operations Manager - Eagle Pass, TX Near Eagle, TX

INTRODUCTION

AMI Expeditionary Healthcare has a federal contract to hire contracted staff to work along the southwest border of the United States. Contracted staff will work to provide supportive services for persons of all ages, to include infants, children, adults, and pregnant women.

Job Summary:

??The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all operational aspects of the facility, with a particular focus on lodging, food services, recreation, check-in/check-out processes, security, and technology. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the clinic, with the primary goal of providing a safe and supportive environment. The Operations Manager will work closely with staff, volunteers, and partner organizations to ensure the successful delivery of services and the well-being of the visitors.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • ??Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the clinic, ensuring compliance with established protocols and standards.
  • ?Supervise and coordinate the allocation of lodging spaces, ensuring the availability of clean, safe, and comfortable accommodations for visitors.
  • ?Oversee maintenance and housekeeping activities to maintain a hygienic and well-maintained environment.
  • ?Oversee the use and maintenance of technology systems and equipment, including communication tools, databases, and security systems.?

Duties/Responsibilities:

??Operational Management:

  • ?Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and guidelines related to lodging, transportation, food services, recreation, check-in/check-out processes, security, and technology.
  • ?Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the clinic ensuring compliance with established protocols and standards.
  • ?Monitor and evaluate operational processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • ?Work with the medical team to manage unique medical needs.
  • ?Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the efficient allocation of resources and timely resolution of operational issues.
  • ?Develop a shift communication model and conduct daily clinic briefings and provide ongoing communication to visitors, staff and leadership regarding day to day operations.

?Lodging Management:

  • ?Supervise and coordinate the allocation of lodging spaces, ensuring the availability of clean, safe, and comfortable accommodations for visitors.
  • ?Oversee maintenance and housekeeping activities to maintain a hygienic and well-maintained environment.
  • ?Address any lodging-related concerns or complaints promptly and effectively.

?Food Services Management:

  • ?Collaborate with food service providers to ensure the provision of nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs and cultural preferences of visitors.
  • ?Monitor food service operations, including procurement, storage, preparation, and distribution, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • ?Address any food-related concerns or issues raised by visitors or staff.

?Recreation Management:

  • ?Coordinate and facilitate recreational activities and programs that promote the physical and mental well-being of visitors.
  • ?Collaborate with community organizations and volunteers to provide recreational opportunities and cultural enrichment experiences.
  • ?Ensure the availability and maintenance of recreational facilities and equipment.

?Check-in/Check-out Processes:

  • ?Develop and implement efficient and organized check-in/check-out procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and proper record-keeping.
  • ?Coordinate the registration and intake process for new visitors, providing orientation and necessary information about clinic rules and resources.
  • ?Oversee the departure process, ensuring proper documentation and support services for visitors transitioning out of the clinic.

?Security Management:

  • ?Implement and maintain security protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of visitors, staff, and visitors.
  • ?Coordinate with security personnel and local law enforcement agencies to address security concerns and emergencies.
  • ?Conduct regular security assessments and training for staff and volunteers.

?Technology Management:

  • ?Oversee the use and maintenance of technology systems and equipment, including communication tools, databases, and security systems.
  • ?Identify opportunities to leverage technology for improved operational efficiency and resident support.
  • ?Collaborate with IT support providers to address any technology-related issues or upgrades.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work on a team.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Must be able to successfully complete the AMI Credentialing Process.
  • Proficiency in technology including Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Office.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., hospitality management, facility management, social work) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a clinic, hospitality, or humanitarian setting.
  • Strong cultural awareness and track record working with diverse populations and needs.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.

Additional Requirements:

  • ??Must be able to work in a safe manner following all safety rules and regulations. Must work as a team member to improve safety culture and quality.
  • ?Read and follow instructions. Demonstrate safe work behavior.
  • ?Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • ?Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • ?Must be able to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently.
  • ?Written and spoken fluency in English
  • ?Language proficiency in Haitian Creole, Spanish, or French is preferred.
  • ?Vaccinations as required.?
