Amherst Services Corp is Hiring a CapCityKids & Amherst Foundation Intern Near Austin, TX

As a CapCityKids & Amherst Foundation Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing our programs and events. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management, event coordination, and financial management. Key Responsibilities 1. Back to School Drive: - Coordinate the procurement of backpacks, school supplies, and hygiene kits for homeless and at-risk youth in cities across southern United States. - Collaborate with the internal team and homeless school liaisons to ensure efficient distribution of supplies. - Manage and evaluate budgets to ensure the optimal allocation of resources. - Work with vendors and wholesalers to ensure timely delivery of supplies. 2. Charity Golf Tournament: - Communicate with potential sponsors to secure partnerships for the golf tournament. - Work closely with your team to plan and execute pre-event activities leading up to the tournament. - Assist in the coordination of logistics for the day of the tournament. 3. Amherst Foundation Matching Donations: - Process matching donation requests submitted by employees for approval by the Amherst Foundation. - Maintain accurate records and documentation of all donation requests and approvals. 4. Coat Drive - Coordinate the procurement of winter coats for homeless and at-risk youth in cities across the southern United States - Manage and evaluate budgets to ensure optimal allocation of resources Qualifications - Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program. - Strong organizational and project management skills. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - Demonstrated proficiency in budget management and creation. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Proactive and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
