Associate Director Scientific Communications
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders across the Cardiovascular Therapeutic Area and aligned with product strategy, the Associate Director Scientific Communications is accountable for a broad scope of responsibilities that include leading a team of senior managers/managers, overseeing the development of high-quality strategic plans for Scientific communications, such as US medical content and publications.
Responsible for prioritization, oversight, execution, and timely/compliant delivery of:
Open to innovative and new communication approaches, with ability to effectively partner cross-functionally to assess, evaluate, and identify paths forward
Maintain positive relationships with Medical Strategy & Operations in support of standardization of processes, optimizing systems, and furthering continuous improvement and innovation, including use of digital and multi-channel approaches, as well as development of impactful of important metrics.
Provide input to drive scientific communication plans that adapt according to changes in the disease area and treatment landscape, as well as in-depth awareness of insights across local affiliates and cross-functional partners
Coordinate, train, and develop staff in an environment that cultivates collaboration, support, and understanding. Provide constructive feedback for career growth and development opportunities.
Evaluate feedback to vendors working on medical content and publication projects and efficiently manage annual budget to implement annual plans

Doctorate degree and 3 years of Medical/Scientific Affairs experience
Master’s degree and 5 years of Medical/Scientific Affairs experience
Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of Medical/Scientific Affairs experience
Associate’s degree and 12 years of Medical/Scientific Affairs experience
High school diploma / GED and 14 years of Medical/Scientific Affairs experience

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
