GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Assistant Manager must demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of Branch Management daily. The Assistant Manager is responsible for (1) managing the branch office during the Branch Manager’s absence and (2) working with and for the Manager at all other times in operating the branch profitably, in compliance with Company policies and federal/state regulations. In this position an individual is “in training” to become a Branch Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Controls and monitors branch activities, as assigned, to ensure profitability and
achievement of budgeted objectives.
2. Functions as Branch Manager in the absence of the actual Branch Manager. Performs relief management assignments, as directed
3. Demonstrates full familiarity with consumer loan investigation and approval process, including capability to reach correct lending decisions and define them. Closes consumer loans properly and finalizes transaction documents for filing per policy.
4. Helps to increase branch volume by generating new business sources and expanding current sources. Conducts on-site business development visits to dealers, as directed by the Branch Manager, with appropriate telephone follow-up.
5. Monitors compliance with all Company policies and applicable federal/state regulations
6. Takes an active part in administering the branch’s cash control operation
7. Maintains appropriate office appearance
8. Requisitions necessary office supplies and materials
9. Opens and Disburses incoming mail
10. Ensures courteous and efficient customer service
11. Solicits all eligible accounts on a regular basis
12. Works delinquent accounts to conclusion
13. Works with the Branch Manager in the supervision of the branch staff. Uses leadership skills and motivational techniques to maximize the productivity and job satisfaction of assigned employees.
14. Becomes familiar with all operational reports. As assigned, compiles information required by Company policy or for use in meetings, reports, etc., organizing the data in a format easily interpreted for decision-making.
15. Assists in leading Branch to achieve its annual Performance Plan
16. Perform other duties as assigned

spelling and grammar. Varies writing style to meet needs. Presents numerical data effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
High School or general education degree (GED) and 2-4 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills:
Data Entry, phone answering, personal computer, 10-key, WPM 40 and Microsoft Office
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
