The PositionAMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Systems Engineer-Junior to support Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required. Learns to operate NEWEG Stimulators and supports RF ground testing in laboratories, anechoic chambers and on active flight line
Uses Government-Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) software to develop complex RF environment testing
Supports software integration, customer training and demonstrations
Configurs customized stimulation hardware to support NEWEG development and maintenance
Demonstes a knowledge of standard programming algorithms, design patterns and object-oriented software designs
Collaborates with team members to design future enhancements for NEWEG stimulators
Applies learned concepts accurately and creatively
Must-haves
BS Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science or other engineering disciplines
The ability to travel up to 25% of the time to CONUS and OCONUS locations
Understanding of programming languages C , Python 3, HTML and MATLAB
Experience with Linux environments, troubleshooting and problem solving
The ability to effectively organize, prioritize, schedule and complete tasking across several efforts
The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills
Experience configuring hardware and software
The ability to work comfortably in a complex environment
Experience communicating effectively across a diverse teaming structure
Experience working independently to overcome obstacles
Experience providing support for networking environments
Skills Crucial To Success At AMEWASCandidates must have a customer-focused attitude with a high level of professionalism and discretion, and have the ability to work effectively with both management, and as part of a team, to meet project targets. Physical Environment And Working ConditionsThe physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc. The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site. Overnight travel will be required. The physical environment requires the employee to stand, walk and/or move throughout the workday, often bending over and lifting items up to approximately 50 lbs.
