We are looking for a Tile and Wood Showroom Sales Associate for our flooring store. You would be responsible for assisting customers with selecting the type of material best suited for their project, the design and layout of the project along with color coordination. We are looking for a confident, out-going individual who enjoys working with people and is reliable, friendly with a high work ethic and has excellent customer service skills and attention to detail. You will need to have an eye for detail and be a self-starter with the ability to multi task. You will also be responsible to help identify customer needs, present and answer questions about our products and services and recommend solutions. This position would have set hours of Monday- Wednesday 9:45am-6pm, Thursday 12pm-8pm, and Friday 9:45am-5 pm, Saturdays by appointment only, if necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Greet customers on the sales floor and assist with selection of tile or wood flooring products

· Stay up-to-date on a wide variety of products and be able to clearly communicate the features and benefits

· Research product availability, order materials

· Effectively juggle multiple projects and be able to manage shifting deadlines

· Provide outstanding customer service before, during and after the sale

· Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services

· Ensure the samples on the sales floor are up to date and current - this is a daily task

· Social media marketing

· Entering detailed information into QuickBooks

· Ensure the showroom is clean and presentable, this would included light cleaning duties

SALES QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with flooring products is preferred but not necessary. A background in retail sales or customer service is very helpful and preferred.

Requirements for this position include:
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- Basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office, and a willingness to learn our retail software
- Professionalism - dependability, accountability & punctuality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
