Instill Safety as a top priority Provides on-site supervision and direction to crew members Familiar with project specifications and ability to understand plans Establish and adjust work sequences to meet schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel Ensure crew time cards are filled out and submitted weekly Fill out daily foreman reports Analyze and resolve issues that may arise unexpectedly Ability to explain and understand survey and grade staking (Lasers, Transits, and GPS) Manage all excavating activities for your crew Other duties may be assigned. Minimum of 5 years as a foreman/supervisor in the highway heavy civil construction Willingness to travel Knowledge of OSHA standards and practices MSHA part 48 a plus Must be familiar with heavy equipment Ability to work outside in all weather conditions Must have a valid Driver’s License Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-power tools Frequently sit, stand, walk, crouch, kneel, climb, and periodically lift to 50lbs Positive attitude and excellent motivational skills Time management, multitasking, and prioritization are crucial Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies .
