Work Schedule: 3:30pm-6:00pm Monday-Friday during the season. Longer nights will be required on game nights. Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Instructs athletes about the fundamentals of football.
Attends all practices and has the ability to coach at an individual, small group and team level.
Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators.
Communicates effectively with coaching staff, student-athletes, parents, and school administration.
Participates in special events to include banquets, award nights, and pep assemblies.
Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures.
Abides by strict confidentiality at all times.
Attends work on a consistent and punctual basis.
Assists with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A current Iowa Department of Education coaching authorization or coaching endorsement
Concussion certification
Ability to pass a background check
Experience coaching football at the high school or middle school level preferred

Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
Previous successful coaching experience in Football.
Knowledge of rules and regulations.
Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
Coaching and/or leadership experience.
Experience coaching at a middle school or high school level, preferred.
Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport, at the same time, must continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.
Serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through his/her instructions and actions.
