Work Schedule: 3:30pm-6:00pm Monday-Friday during the season. Longer nights will be required on game nights.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Instructs athletes about the fundamentals of football.
- Attends all practices and has the ability to coach at an individual, small group and team level.
- Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators.
- Communicates effectively with coaching staff, student-athletes, parents, and school administration.
- Participates in special events to include banquets, award nights, and pep assemblies.
- Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures.
- Abides by strict confidentiality at all times.
- Attends work on a consistent and punctual basis.
- Assists with other duties as assigned.
- A current Iowa Department of Education coaching authorization or coaching endorsement
- Concussion certification
- Ability to pass a background check
- Experience coaching football at the high school or middle school level preferred
The Successful Candidate Will
- Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
- Previous successful coaching experience in Football.
- Knowledge of rules and regulations.
- Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
- Coaching and/or leadership experience.
- Experience coaching at a middle school or high school level, preferred.
- Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport, at the same time, must continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.
- Serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through his/her instructions and actions.
