Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team. As an EHS Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment. This is a critical role that requires strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.

Duties:

- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies

-Knowledge of DOT regulations and guidelines

- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement

- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions

- Provide training to employees on safety procedures, emergency response, and hazard recognition

- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, training sessions, and other relevant data

- Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving safety performance

- Stay up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices

- Fabricate safety signs, labels, and other visual aids as needed

Experience:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental health and safety roles

- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers compensation laws, EPA requirements and DOT

- Experience in report writing and conducting incident investigations

- Training development experience is a plus
