AmeriStaff Employment & Staffing Solutions is Hiring an Assistant Golf Professional Near Martinsville, VA

AmeriStaff is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Golf Professional to fill an opening in Martinsville, VA. As an Assistant Golf Professional, you will work closely with our Head Golf Professional and management team to ensure the highest standards of service and satisfaction for our members and guests. Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Benefits of the Assistant Golf Professional:

  • Direct Hire Opportunity.
  • Full-time.
  • Pay: 35,000 per year.

Requirements of the Assistant Golf Professional:

  • PGA/PGM Associate preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a golf operations role.
  • Strong knowledge of golf rules, etiquette, and terminology.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with members, guests, and colleagues.
  • Proven teaching ability and experience conducting golf instruction for players of all ages and skill levels.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as needed.
  • CPR/AED certification preferred.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Golf Professional:

  • Assisting with daily golf operations, including managing tee times, checking in players, and overseeing golf cart fleet.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to all members and guests, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conducting golf lessons, clinic, and group instruction for players of all skill levels, focusing on improving their technique and enjoyment of the game.
  • Assisting with golf event coordination and execution, including tournaments, outings, and member events.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized golf shop, ensuring merchandise displays are attractive and well-stocked.
  • Performing club repair and customization services as needed, including regripping, re-shafting, and loft/lie adjustments.
  • Assisting with golf course maintenance tasks, such as divot repair, bunker raking, and irrigation monitoring.
  • Upholding all club policies and procedures, as well as enforcing rules and regulations on the course.
  • Collaborating with other staff members to ensure seamless operations and exceptional overall experiences for our members and guests.
  • Continuously striving to enhance your knowledge and skills through ongoing training and development opportunities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 per year
