The Amerisafe Group is a national, full-service safety consulting, staffing, training, confined space rescue, and occupational health company. Our staff of safety and health professionals has proven experience in developing and managing safety programs for all types of industries including petrochemical refining, energy, steel, manufacturing, and new construction. The Amerisafe Group is seeking a seasoned, driven health and safety professional to join our team. We are seeking an individual who is a “doer-seller”, and can work on projects while developing Amerisafe’s market in the Midwest. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated professional with extensive field experience in health and safety, and capable of conducting or quickly learning Consultation Group activities (worker training, program development, Proposal development, etc.) as well. Must possess a proven track record in the execution of health and safety, and in client development and business relations. Responsibilities:
Execution of projects (start to finish);
Managing the business growth of the Office
Maintaining and expanding client relations
Development of new clients
Tactical and strategic planning for Office growth.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Science, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field
8 years of field experience in relevant industries, primarily construction, refining, power and/or petrochemical.
Business development and client relations experience
Be results-oriented, have strong analytical and decision-making abilities, and be a creative problem solver
Leadership and management experience in the health and safety profession
Solid verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong technical skills
Safety-related certifications or advanced degree a plus
