Position Overview:
Ameriprise—San Diego, CA—As a Client Service Associate, you will directly support the daily business operations of a growing Private Wealth Advisory practice based in San Diego through calendar management, direct client service, meeting management, and collaborative projects. All projects assigned will help drive practice growth and foster a vibrant, immersive client experience to high net-worth families, individuals, and organizations.
With an enthusiastic yet methodical approach to client service, business processing, and office management you seamlessly and strategically engage with both the client-facing sector of the business and the business processing components of private wealth management and financial planning.
What You'll Do:
- Manage the office, greeting clients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Track client onboarding process and new client experience, incorporating both in-person and digital components
- Serve as the first point of contact for client support through e-mail, phone, and in-person visits
- Create applications and process new business
- Assign and delegate tasks to staff and track tasks through execution
- Assist team in managing office facilities
- Manage office and advisor calendars & assist with scheduling
- Maintain compliant records, office reporting requirements, and business correspondence
- Ad hoc projects as assigned
- Provide administrative and operational support to the CEO and practice

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and demonstrated ability to learn new applications
- Experience in Salesforce (preferred, but not required)
- Commitment to adhere to rules and regulations as stated and required by practice and Ameriprise
- Sincere willingness to constantly learn and grow
- Achievement oriented—willing to take on the challenge and problem-solve through completion
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role or in an administrative capacity is preferred
- 1-2 years of financial planning and investment office and/or 2-3 years client service experience highly preferred
- Ideal, but not required: Have or be able to obtain federal and state licenses and registrations for securities, including: Series 7, Series 66, and State Life, Accident and Health insurance licenses within 1 year of hiring.
