AMERILAB TECHNOLOGIES, INC. is Hiring a Site (Production) Supervisor - 2nd shift Near Plymouth, MN

Amerilab Technologies is a growing and leading US manufacturer in the development, manufacturing, and packaging of effervescent tablets, and effervescent and non-effervescent powders in stick packs and sachets, and we are currently seeking skilled and experienced Site (Production) Supervisor to join our team.

Schedule:

Monday to Thursday, 4:00 pm to 2:30 am

The Xenium Site (Production) Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day supervision of the team of 2nd shift employees who perform specific tasks as part of operations activities in a nutritional supplement manufacturing environment. Responsible for communicating expectations, building accountability, and delivering desired results in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

The supervisor will be the liaison between the Warehouse Manager and warehouse employees with the warehouse workload directed by the Warehouse Manager. This position will also be responsible for ensuring all current procedures are being conducted and carried out regarding forklift PM’s and daily warehouse checklist form per Amerilab standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of assigned areas or workgroup to ensure organizational and objectives are met.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable DCC and Amerilab policies and procedures
  • Ensure the execution of the production plan to support business requirements.
  • Ensure all products are manufactured in compliance with the specifications set forth by the customer and Amerilab and maintaining or exceeding, manufacturing standards, yields and efficiencies.
  • Promote communication and teamwork across shifts / crews as applicable.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • Provide leadership and direction to the Manufacturing and Warehouse teams.
    • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
    • Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
    • Encourage employee communication and development through team meetings, leadership, performance appraisals, and goal setting.
  • Work together with the management team to provide orientation and training of employees.
  • Monitor equipment operation to ensure proper functioning.
  • Ensure that all required documentation for production records is completed according to policies.
  • Lead and/or participate on cross-functional teams.
  • Train line leads, and line employees on Rules and Regulations, Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and Job Expectations.
  • Lead special projects such as damage reduction, efficiency, and overall warehouse improvements.
  • Supervise all operational procedures for activities, such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory accurate and current.
  • Inspect the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment including forklifts, shrink wrapping, floor scales and other warehouse equipment and prepare work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment; reports on and corrects problems.
  • Confer with department heads to ensure the coordination of warehouse activities with such activities as production, sales, records control and purchasing, deal with vendors, as required to ensure the customer’s requirements are met.
  • Interact with management, peers and team leads to establish goals with Manager.
  • Work with Manager on plans for space utilization to meet cost and service standards.
  • Recommend changes to existing safety policies and procedures for all activities; maintain current knowledge of and implement existing applicable federal and state safety and health requirements.
  • Maintain building sanitation and create a clean working environment and assure ongoing compliance with all company procedures, work instructions and government regulations.
  • Supervise receiving operation to minimize cost and ensure accurate receiving paperwork.
  • Direct and control all transportation into and out of the warehouse to meet company standards of service, cost, and security.
  • Coordinate stager activities to ensure schedule is achieved and production has materials to produce schedule.
  • Ensure FIFO is adhered to.
  • Communicate material shortages, quality issues, or concerns to both production and purchasing departments.
  • Cooperate with auditors, as necessary.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.

Safety Protocol:

  • Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
  • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
  • Support safety policies and programs.
