Position: Summer Youth Program Educator (6–8-week contract)

Contract Duration: 6-8 weeks (300 hours)

Start Date: July 2024

End Date: August 2024

Responsibilities: As a Summer Youth Program Educator with AmeriCorps, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of young individuals. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Youth Fitness and Nutrition Education:
• Design and deliver engaging fitness and nutrition sessions for youth participants.
• Foster healthy habits and promote physical well-being.
• Youth Mentoring:
• Build positive relationships with program participants.
• Serve as a mentor, providing guidance, encouragement, and support.
• Child Safety:
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children attending the summer camp or program.
• Implement safety protocols and respond to emergencies effectively.

Compensation:

• Living Wage: $3041 for the duration of the contract.
• Educational Award: Upon successful completion of the contract, you will receive an educational award of $1459.26.

Qualifications:

• Passion for working with youth and promoting their holistic development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in fitness, nutrition, or youth education is a plus.
