The mission of Project Commotion is to foster healthy development in children of all abilities through purposeful movement, play, and family and community relationships. Using a culturally-relevant curriculum, Project Commotion offers bilingual English/Spanish creative movement programming in dance, capoeira, and theater arts to children of all ages. We provide after-school/weekend classes, summer camps and school partnerships. Our movement arts programs support social emotional growth, physical and mental health, and lay the foundational groundwork needed for academic success. As an Operations Manager VISTA you create and manage systems to streamline internal organizational operations, with an emphasis on social media and developing community relationships. Your organization and innovation will sustain a work environment that support impact and wellbeing. You will be working with a fun-loving, creative, diverse team! Our team walks the walk: as we promote community wellness, we also strive to support our staff’s wellness. We provide wellness Friday’s monthly which include activities staff have chosen such as meditation or stretching. Staff have free access to all of our classes and workshops. Our movement studio is full of soft mats and foam cushions, which can make for a cozy break time.
