AmeriCorps is Hiring a 2024-25 College Coach Near UNKNOWN, IA

The College Access and Success program strives to remove barriers both high school and college students face as they pursue and achieve postsecondary education. This member’s service will help remove those barriers by assisting high school students within a designated region throughout the college-going process. In addition, this member will work with Last-Dollar Scholarship recipients at assigned colleges to ensure college success leading to postsecondary attainment.

Member Duties : Members will help remove barriers to pursuing & attaining a postsecondary education by assisting high school & college students within a designated region in Iowa. Members will work virtually with students, as well as visit high schools within their region to offer college-going assistance, including: helping with college applications, individual FAFSA completion help, giving presentations, & more. Members will utilize a texting platform & email to connect with students, as well as offer individual, virtual appointments. Members will serve virtually in a team environment to help Iowans achieve postsecondary success.
