Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Intake Coordinator. As an Intake Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the intake process and ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient information. This position requires knowledge of medical office procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Verify insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations - Schedule appointments and coordinate with other departments as needed - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health record systems such as HEALTHCARE SYNERGY.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, providers, and other staff members - Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality - Collaborate with the medical team to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
Qualifications: - Previous experience working in a medical office setting is preferred - Familiarity with medical terminology, dental receptionist duties, medical scheduling, and medical records management is a plus - Proficiency in using electronic health record. -
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload - Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
INTAKE JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Verifying Medical Insurance Coverage and Benefits for patients
- Responsible for Care Coordination which includes interacting with patients, patients’ family, case managers, medical staff, and anyone else involved in the home health needs for the patient
- Staffing patients based on there needs, RN, SN, PT, OT, ST, CHHA, MSW
- Data Entry, Chart Creation, Reporting and Other Healthcare Related Duties
- Tracking care coordination
