Job Description

We are looking for a mission-driven professional with an Operational Test background and Active TS/SCI clearance to become our next Operational Test Suitability Analyst at Edwards Air Force Base in California. The candidate will support our Air Force Operational Test (AFOTEC) Team. This is a great opportunity to be on the cutting edge of our country's next generation of Bomber aircraft!

A week in the life of an Operational Test Suitability Analyst:

  • Draft operational suitability test plans, reports, and various supporting documents and briefings
  • Assist the Test Director in timely preparation of high-quality analysis across the varied test venues during all test phases
  • Contribute to all facets of test design and planning using in-depth knowledge of system under test, AFOTEC test policies, and test range capabilities
  • Attend meetings and conferences as required
  • Approximately 10-20% CONUS travel will be required to multiple government and contractor facilities around the country, representing the government T&E team with program office, contractor, laboratory, Federally-Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC), and academic activities.
Job Requirements
  • Position requires minimum Bachelors Degree in a related scientific, technical, or management field. Minimum 4 years of academic course work or current logistics experience with aircraft systems.
  • 6 years practical knowledge of military aircraft systems and related fields such as flight controls, avionics and other electrical subsystems, Low Observables systems design, manufacturing, and maintenance, propulsion systems, aircrew and human machine interfaces, radar fundamentals and advanced electromagnetics theory, combat mission planning and weapons employment, and adversary threat capabilities.
  • Expertise in developing airlift, fighter, or bomber aircraft maintenance specific data collection, data processing, data evaluation and data reporting.
  • Proficient with analysis of information from USAFs Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) or Maintenance Systems for Mobility (G081)
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products
  • SECURITY CLEARANCE: TOP SECRET clearance with less than five years since the last investigation closed out. Candidates must also have the ability to obtain clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearances to perform the work.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $125,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
