A week in the life of a Hardware/Software Logistics Specialist:

• Serve as the participate in hardware deficiency investigations.
• Analyze and provide technical solutions to software, hardware, and system issues; document reported issues, deficiencies, troubleshooting notes and solutions.
• Coordinate warranty support.
• Perform intermediate user or Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) maintenance using equipment; coordinate third party hardware repair.
• Provide briefings/communication to fielding team members; receive equipment from operational units, maintain inventory records; support hardware technical specification discussions.
• As required travel to support enterprise meetings and other events requiring hardware support.
• Provide recommendations concerning replacement or modifications to fielded systems.
• Coordinate with Configuration Managers and provide input to Configuration Management and Technical Publications.
• Provide training for SSRs, Air Force personnel, and others regarding installation/testing and maintenance of Mission Planning Equipment.
• Monitor and analyze hardware and software support data, reporting on discovered problems and trends.
• Collect Operational Safety Suitability and Effectiveness (OSS&E) metrics according to internal and enterprise-level processes for risk management and engineering control boards.

• Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance
• 1-3 years of experience of proficiency in the use of logistics, shipping coordination, and delivery, and developing and maintaining hardware/logistics artifacts, deliverables, and documentation.
• Skilled in the current versions of baseline Microsoft products (Windows, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) and professional communication via written, telephonic, interpersonal, and electronic means.
