A week in the life of a Senior Electrical Engineer:

  • Design, develop, and evaluate electrical systems on certain Navy vessels and manned / unmanned aircraft systems.
  • Support the customer in reviewing third party design modifications and improvements to electrical systems and components.
  • Perform design reviews, evaluate constructability, help resolve technical issues, and manage information generated through the design and build phases of multiple and concurrent projects.
  • Conduct electrical engineering analysis on customer systems.
  • Create graphical representations of the systems.
  • Inspect equipment or systems.
  • Research advanced engineering designs or applications.
  • Monitor processes for compliance with standards.
  • Devise research or testing protocols.
  • Prepare technical reports for internal use.
  • Communicate technical information to suppliers, contractors, or regulatory agencies.

Job Requirements
  • Active or the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance (US Citizenship required)
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
  • Eight (8) years professional technical experience
  • Three (3) years specialized experience in the areas of concept definition, design, integration, and engineering.
  • Experience in electrical engineering analysis and design, in electrical engineering software tools, coordinating electrical fabrication, and electrical engineering test techniques
