A week in the life of a Database Administrator/Technical Project Manager :

• Work with the DHS customer to define data needs, system requirements, and solutions.
• Act as lead for a small team of IT support personnel charged with administering a BlackBerry Athoc platform for Emergency Mass Notification.
• Apply your database expertise to perform data scripting to including SQL, database backends, APIs, and PowerShell.
• Provide Subject Matter Expertise for the most complex troubleshooting and configuration challenges.
• Work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.

• Active Secret Clearance is required as well as the ability to meet DHS clearance requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• 7 years experience in database administration, data cleansing, SQL, and PowerShell scripting required
• 3 years’ experience leading technical projects
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to create and present complex technical solutions to gain customer buy in
• The following skills are also desired:
• 1 year experience with the BlackBerry AtHoc Networked Crisis Communication Suite
• 1 year experience in BlackBerry AtHoc database administration 
• Familiarity with application and server virtualization.
• Network architecture knowledge of HTTPS and TCP/IP.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary/hourly range for this position is $124,000 - $135,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
