JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician repairs, adjusts, and maintains equipment daily. This position is Forklift Certified. This position directly impacts customer satisfaction and profitability. Due to the physical demands of this job, it is essential that correct lifting techniques, proper body mechanics, as well as applicable safe work practices be utilized.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education:
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A working knowledge of department safety, quality and operational procedures, training manuals and company policies and procedures is required. Employees must have a working knowledge of all equipment and processes for repair and maintenance of that equipment.
Experience: At least 7 years of relevant work experience is required.
Skills: Ability to evaluate design flaws and implement corrective actions to eliminate chronic problems or excessive downtime in areas of assignment.
Knowledge in robotic/CNC systems with ability to support the electronic interface, mechanical installation, design/fabrication, repair, and maintenance of various brands of secondary automation devices for automated production equipment.
Must have excellent communication skills (verbally and written)
Ability to develop operating and maintenance manuals for a variety of equipment.
Ability to develop preventative maintenance requirements and schedules for equipment.
Ability to read and understand components, machine design electric, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics, and blueprints.
Basic math and engineering skills to support the design or modification of equipment or fixtures as required.

The Maintenance Technician functions at a work pace of occasional to frequent. Critical physical demands are lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing, crawling, trunk turning and twisting.
