Our CDL Dump Truck Drivers transport and load/unload materials, tools, and equipment to various job sites to locations around the United States. At times, this position will be required to assist with labor or equipment operator tasks, and support the company goals by following all Federal, State and Local DOT and FRA regulations. 

What You'll Do:

• Safely drive and operate a Dump truck in a variety of conditions, including urban, suburban and rural environments
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Any issues found will need to be brought to the attention of our in-house mechanic
• Clean up of multiple types of jobs safely and efficiently to limit downtime and minimize costs
• Deliver and recover a variety of equipment, tools, and supplies to and from the customer worksite
• Drive safely in tight settings such as construction zones
• Follow truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Report defects, accidents or violations
• Willingness to always wear your seatbelt and the proper/required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as hard hat, hi-visibility class II DOT rated shirt or vest, 6” lace-up steel toed / metatarsal protected boots, eye/ear/face protection on an as needed basis
• Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules

Requirements

What We Need from You:

• Valid Class B CDL license required, Class A preferred
• Experience in operation of dump trucks and other various pieces of heavy equipment required
• Experience in railroad construction is a plus
• High school diploma or general education degree preferred
• Pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check required
• Clean driving record required
• Ability to drive long hours and travel 1(00% Travel with 16 days on and 8 days off typical rotation)
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, etc.); uneven surfaces; safety sensitive work environment
