We are currently seeking a Continuing Education Program Management Intern (NJ)

This position will work 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday, and some weekends and evenings will be required during times of business need. Travel will also be involved up to 20% of the time.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):

The Training Services Summer Internship Program offers undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to gain work experience in a non-profit organization. During the 10-week program, students receive training and develop their skills and knowledge under the guidance of experienced professionals. The 2024 Summer Internship program will run from May 29, 2024, through August 2, 2024.

The Associate, Continuing Education Program Management, will be responsible for supporting the maintenance of Continuing Education (CE) accreditation standard compliance during the growth of the CE Program across the American Red Cross enterprise.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD (Key Responsibilities):

* Develop proficiency with the accreditation standards of the Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education (JA) and the Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE).

* Create an educational onboarding tool to orient internal teams and external partners in the delivery of accredited American Red Cross CE.

* Support the implementation of a learning management system/CE Platform by assisting with document uploads and additional deliverable requirements for a successful launch in June 2024.

* Research standard and resource requirements for accrediting organizations in non-healthcare (i.e. in workplace, such as International Accreditors of Continuing Education and Training (IACET)) to support a feasibility study for inclusion within the Red Cross CE Program post-CE Platform launch

* Assist with the development of websites, both internal and external facing, to facilitate customer and partner communication on CE in American Red Cross courses.

* Other support duties as assigned.

----------------------Scope: Learning aspects of the job. Assignments are received in task- oriented terms. Contacts primarily within immediate work unit.

Standard Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00PM

Pay Information: $20 per hour

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications) A current, valid driver's license with good driving record is required:

  • Education: Internship is typically part of an undergraduate or graduate program with higher education credit hours granted. Preference for Graduate healthcare education programs. Those majoring in healthcare, communications, other education or information technology will also be considered.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience
  • Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Sharepoint).
  • Demonstrates initiative, self-driven to achieve stated goals
  • Utilizes resources: Independent research and escalation to subject matter experts, as appropriate
  • Agility in navigation of diverse software programs.
  • Successful performance and collaboration within a team.
  • Travel: Ability to travel to attend in person meetings 10-20%.
