Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Accounts Receivable Department Manager to lead and optimize our receivables operations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional critical thinking skills, excel at multi-tasking, and have a deep understanding of revenue categorization and recognition. The role requires a proven track record in managing revenue, setting guidelines, and establishing best practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and develop the receivables department, including staff development and the creation of procedures and workflows.
- Optimize sales and minimize bad debt losses through effective credit management.
- Conduct thorough General Ledger (GL) reviews and analyze customer billing details and revenue postings.
- Evaluate the work of A/R staff and provide recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Manager in a mid-sized business with annual revenue exceeding $10M.
- Advanced accounting skills and thorough knowledge of GAAP procedures.
- Proficiency in Excel, including the ability to query, analyze data, and create reports.
- Experience in writing and implementing processes to improve workflow.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor staff and set guidelines for daily, monthly, and yearly goals.
- Solid understanding of fair credit practices and collection regulations, including the right to lien property.

- Previous experience in the heavy equipment industry.
- Experience with Microsoft Navision or other large ERP systems.
- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Previous experience with Avalara.
- International experience with currency and conversions.
