American Pain Consortium is Hiring a Clinical Psychologist Near Columbus, OH

American Pain Consortium (APC) staffs a growing network of interventional pain management practices and ambulatory surgical centers at multiple locations in Indiana and Ohio. Our facility in Indianapolis, Center for Pain Management, is seeking an experienced full time psychologist. Center for Pain Management is a multidisciplinary pain center of seven physicians and nine mid-level providers that incorporates interventional procedures, neuromodulation, medication management, physical therapy, psychology, and infusion therapy to restore function and relieve suffering while minimizing reliance on oral opioids.

An ideal candidate will have:

o A doctoral degree in psychology from an APA accredited university

o An Ohio license or be fully license eligible in the state of Ohio

o Experience in pre-surgical evaluation and clearance of patients being considered for implantable devices for pain.

o Strong skills in written and verbal communication

o Passion for working with patients who have chronic pain and complex medical histories

o At least two years of post-licensure experience in a health psychology role.

o Strong treatment planning skills

o Experience in therapeutic and assessment techniques used in the management of chronic pain

o Expertise in multidisciplinary coordination of care

o Experience building a mental health services department
