JOB TITLE: Production Planner
SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager, support and implement programs to enhance cost performance in manufacturing and improving responsiveness to customers. The key hub of information passing to and from Manufacturing in relation to meeting customer requirements. Create and manage many excel reports to help with communication of readiness dates. Work with teams to execute projects to advance continuous improvement of processes and procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates (A.S.) or Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Logistics; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to handle pressure and get along well with peers. And find creative solutions to situations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to communicate clearly to every level of the organization. Ability to effectively assemble and present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certified purchasing manager or Certified in Production and Inventory management. Helpful but not required.
