Director, Product Management

American National is seeing a Director of Product Management to join our growing team. In this role you will be responsible for the property and casualty management team. Your primary responsibilities will include direct oversight of commercial/farm & personal lines profitability and growth strategy, ability to propel product vision/direction, and active collaboration with the field force and our internal partners.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a team of product managers and analysts (mentoring, coaching, conducting performance reviews, and removing obstacles to support priority items)
  • Drive the commercial & farm product vision and direction with pursuit of achieving corporate goals
  • Enhance and create reporting and metrics for monitoring the profitability and growth for our portfolio of business
  • Keep a keen awareness and pulse on all internal/external forces, business direction, and financial dynamics that could impact objectives including market, competitors, regulatory and legal environments, premium, and loss trends
  • Actively evaluate and recommend cost-effective product and service solutions to maximize cost efficiency to increase revenue
  • Endorse and manage product changes that are targeted to client segments or markets
  • Generate product plans (road maps) that schedule out current and future product enhancement projects

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
  • A minimum of ten (10) years’ combined professional experience in the following areas of expertise: product management, underwriting, claims, actuarial or related commercial insurance industry experience

Salary for this position can range from $120,000 for candidates who are minimally qualified through $179,000 for more highly qualified candidates. Candidates outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill and education.
