American National Family of Companies is Hiring a Corporate Buyer Near Springfield, MO

Corporate Buyer

American National is seeking a full-time, Corporate Buyer team member who will be responsible for managing indirect category spend, tracking successful order fulfillment, and invoice processing/returns. To thrive in this position, you should be comfortable negotiating prices, demonstrate your advanced skills in Excel such as utilizing Pivot tables, V-Look up, and running reports, and present strong business acumen.

Onsite Placement: Springfield-MO.

PLEASE NOTE: In review of candidate qualifications, another job level may be considered. (Senior Buyer)

What will you do?

  • Partner with internal users regarding procurement processes
  • Source vendors and negotiate terms of partnership when applicable
  • Address downstream procurement that includes placing an order, tracking an order, and invoicing
  • Monitor vendor performance
  • Provide excellent customer service and be the liaison between the vendor and American National stakeholders
  • Utilize various system platforms for vendor expenditures

Qualifications:

  • Minimum, two years professional work experience
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite programs: Excel; V-Look up, Pivot tables, Reporting / Outlook; Organize meetings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully negotiating pricing terms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of professional experience in the field of finance, accounting, procurement, and/or supply chain management
  • Two year completed degree
  • Knowledge of procurement systems, Coupa system beneficial
