American Montessori Academy is currently seeking an ASSISTANT TEACHER to join our friendly and exceptional team at our Montessori School in Roseville. Looking for an enthusiastic and reliable person to assist in the classroom and be a member of a classroom staff.

Assistant Teacher Job Requirements

• Must meet state of California licensing requirements for education, administration, experience, and age
• Previous experience in a preschool or child care center
• Understanding of current state and local regulations
• Ability to stoop and bend to interact on a child's level, lift up to 40 lbs., and stand up to 95% of the day
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with children and parents
• Preferred 18 years of age or older
• Ability to pass Livescan fingerprint clearance and TB clearance
• Current Measles and Pertussis Vaccinations
• Must have a strong work ethic, and arrive promptly to work each day

Assistant Teacher Education / Experience:

• Must have 12 Core Units in Early Childcare Development.

Assistant Teacher Job Type: Full-time

• Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Assistant Teacher Required experience:

• 1 year of experience working with children is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
