We are looking for a Data test specialist to support American Modern Insurance Group’s (AMIG) Specialty Clients team. Candidate must be a seasoned IT system tester with experience in Property & Casualty business and data testing. You will oversee the end to end testing, importing data from insurance partners into AMIG’s system for monitoring and reporting. This includes integrating partner information with our claims system, agency management system, earnings system, and reporting systems.
The position will be a key member of the Specialty Clients agile delivery team, ensuring the implementation of onboarding additional partners and ensuring ongoing production support of existing partners. The candidate will be aligned with two different services within the MunichRe organization; Specialty Clients and Enterprise Information Management (EIM). The candidate must have strong data experience and demonstrated successful delivery of projects.
As a testing specialist, you’ll:

• Supervise data testers, including offshore resources. Ensures testing team has the tools/access required. Ensure assigned work is completed as scheduled. Reviews test cases / results
• Acts as point of contact for all testing within program business: works directly with project manager and agile team
• Test case execution
• Assign and follow up on tickets assigned to other data testers
• Be responsible for producing test strategy and test evaluation reports
• Identify continuous process improvement opportunities and operationalize solutions for same
• Follow established guidelines and processes for project methodologies - MRessentials

Profile:

• Minimum 5 years testing experience in Datawarehouse projects
• Financial or Insurance background needed; Property and Casualty Insurance required.
• Understanding financial reporting, like general ledger, preferred
• Strong in writing SQL queries and SQL Analytical Functions
• Prior experience in testing Property and Casualty data in data warehouses and reports required;
• Hands on experience in testing Business Intelligence Reports; Cognos and PowerBI preferred
• Excellent working knowledge in Test Plan, Test Strategy, Test Estimates, and Test Case design.
• Experience in creating traceability matrix mapping Test Scenarios / Test Cases with requirements
• Agile/Scrum experience
• Project Tracking and Reporting
• Experience in using test management tools such as Quality Center, VSTS
• Defect Tracking Management/Reporting
• Strong communication skills
• Experience working with co-located/off-shore teams
• Strong skill sets working with relational databases
• Good knowledge of tools, methodologies and procedures in an agile framework
• Customer focus with demonstrated customer engagement skills (relationship / team builder)
• Analytical (proven problem solver) skills and attention to detail
• Written and verbal communications skills to all levels of management
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related fields
