Job Description:

• Develops complex applications, using functional specifications, following departmental policies/procedures, methodologies, and project schedules

• Develops and executes test plans, assuring that both component and integrated tests are completed

• Ability to bring closure to complex issues, problems, and projects.

• Experience with software development (SDLC) methodologies

• Ability to work effectively with clients, interpreting their issues and translating them into workable solutions

• Assists and/or develops training for internal IT staff and business users

Required:

• Bachelor in computer science or equivalent.

• 5 years of hands-on experience in software development

• Experienced in an OO language such as Java (1.8 ), and Spring framework

• Understanding of modern application architectures such as n-tier, distributed, centralized, micro, SOA, etc.

• Understanding of physical and logical data models, including system integration in relational SQL databases

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Passion for upskilling with strong analytical acumen

Preferred skills:

• Knowledge of Guidewire Insurance Suite and digital products/willingness to upskill in Guidewire applications.

• Microsoft Azure Developer Certifications.

• Experience with Azure CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps tools, and Azure DevOps source control repositories like GIT

• Comfortable with one or more ORM framework

• Experience in developing high volume, low latency REST APIs

• Experience with Web APIs (client and server) and knowledge about current API frameworks (Open API/Swagger), Oauth

• Understanding of P&C insurance and business processes
