LCME Project Administrator

We have an opportunity for a remote LCME Project Administrator on our Medical Education team. As a LCME Project Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration and coordination of assignedprojects, procedures and resources to facilitate Liaison Committee on MedicalEducation (LCME) effectiveness and efficiency, including but not limited tomanaging the development of processes to ensure that LCME recognition byexternal groups is maintained; managing the reimbursement process for LCMEmembers, staff, and surveyors; managing the creation, accuracy, and maintenanceof LCME databases; and managing the LCME's ongoing continuous qualityimprovement (CQI/self-evaluation) and data collection processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Management

  • Manage the production and dissemination of materials for LCME accreditation survey visits to medical schools.
  • Develop agendas for three LCME meetings per year and supervise the production and dissemination of meeting materials to LCME members and staff. Administer processes to ensure that information for LCME meetings is available on schedule.
  • Manage the LCME cost-recovery process and monitor its impact on the LCME budget.
  • Collaborate with the AAMC LCME Office to manage the design and dissemination of reports on CQI findings. Coordinate with members of the Secretariat and AAMC staff to support implementation of changes to LCME standards and processes based on CQI results.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of changes in LCME processes that result from CQI activities.
  • Manage the annual review and revision of the LCME Part II Medical School Questionnaire.
  • Work with the survey company to manage the dissemination of the LCME Part II questionnaire to all LCME accredited medical schools.
  • Manage the analysis of LCME Part II questionnaire data and work with LCME staff to develop information for publication and dissemination to internal and external constituencies.

Administrative Support

  • Function as the primary contact with AMA Finance and the Office of the General Counsel related to the budget and reconciliation processes with the AAMC.
  • Manage the reimbursement process for LCME members, staff members, and survey team members for both LCME offices (AMA and AAMC).

Information and Database Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison between AMA and AAMC LCME staff to ensure that information about LCME accreditation processes and actions is accurate and updated in a timely manner.
  • Manage database effectiveness by working with AMA IT staff to ensure databases are functioning as needed.
  • Provide information and advice to medical school representatives, the public, regulators, and medical students on LCME standards and processes.

Compliance Management

  • Direct the production of reports to the US Department of Education, regional accrediting bodies, and state medical licensing boards after each LCME meeting.
  • Support the ongoing recognition of the LCME by the US Department of Education and the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME). Develop and implement processes to collect and store necessary data needed for recognition and annual reviews of the LCME by WFME.

Staff Management

  • Lead, mentor and provide management oversight for staff.
  • Responsible for setting objectives, evaluating performance, and developing staff.

May include other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience required.
  2. Minimum 3 years experience working in an accreditation system for educational programs, preferably in the health professions. Strong working knowledge of the medical school accreditation process is required.
  3. Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, and multi-task across many assignments as needed.
  4. Program management experience required, especially in the areas of needs assessment and program content development.
  5. Excellent writing, organization, and prioritization skills.
  6. Well-developed interpersonal skills, including relationship-building and maintenance.
  7. Significant experience with database management programs (e.g., MSAccess).
  8. Demonstrated ability to work and manage multiple projects under deadline pressure.
  9. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment as well as to work independently as a strong individual contributor.
  10. Initiative-taker with attention to detail.
  11. Occasional travel required.

The pay range for this position in Chicago IL, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Washington D.C. is $72,500-$98,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographical location and business or organizational needs.
