Saving children.® Job Description As a Data Scientist II, you will be at the forefront of solving complex business problems. Your work will involve: Machine Learning Modeling: Develop and implement machine learning models to extract valuable insights from large and diverse datasets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and design ML solutions. Data Exploration and Preparation: Dive deep into data to understand patterns, anomalies, and trends. Clean, preprocess, and transform data for analysis. Hypothesis Management and Problem Analysis: Formulate hypotheses and design experiments to test them. Analyze results and provide actionable recommendations. Data Collection and Integration: Work with internal and external data sources to gather relevant information. Integrate disparate data sets for comprehensive analysis. Operationalization: Translate ML models into production-ready solutions. Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy and monitor models. Mentorship and Collaboration: Mentor junior analysts and contribute to knowledge sharing within the data science community. Collaborate with divisional leads to optimize campaign performance, investments, and organizational strategies. Qualifications: Experience: 7 years of relevant project experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem-solving, solutions implementation, operations analysis, marketing analysis, simulation development, and/or predictive analytics. Analytical Skills: Demonstrated superior analytical skills with diverse data types and statistical software. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Python scripting, R, SPSS, Jupyter notebooks, and ETL processes. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Statistical Knowledge: Clear understanding of statistics, including hypothesis testing, p-values, confidence intervals, regression, classification, and optimization. Problem-Solving: Strong algorithmic problem-solving skills. Communication: Outstanding interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Leadership: Proven project leadership skills. Agile Methodologies and DevOps/MLOps: Adept in agile methodologies and well-versed in applying DevOps/MLOps methods to construct ML and data science pipelines. Business Function Experience: Demonstrated project experience in applying ML and data science to business functions. Strategic Impact and Education: Prefer candidates who have been instrumental in launching at least 3 significant data strategies, including the financial and/or strategic impact of these projects. Alternatively, candidates with a master’s or Ph.D. in Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or Mathematics.
