Quality Control Inspector

American International Tooling is actively hiring for a Quality Assurance/Control Inspector. We have experienced unprecedented growth and require qualified applicants. We are located in Minden, NV. This is a full-time, day-shift position generally working Monday-Friday from 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.
General Summary
A Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for checking the incoming and outgoing products for the company by conducting tests using a variety of precision measuring instruments or against fixed samples. Checks dimensions and finishes against blueprint or work order specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Be proficient in the operation of various micrometers, height gauges, calipers, Keyence measuring equipment, and CMM.
· Test manufactured products to assure conformance with requirements and specifications.
· Test new parts to evaluate adaptation to company’s products.
· Perform quality tests on products and prepare specification test reports.
· Ensure a first article, in-process and final inspection is performed on each production run.
· Reviewing engineering drawings and specifications to ensure that operations meet production standards.
· Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database.
· Removing products that don’t meet production standards and recommending strategies to improve product quality.
· Accepting or rejecting finished products and discussing inspection results with the production team.
· Training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence.
· Proposing improvements to the production process.
· Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discarding any that does not meet requirements.
· Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training.
· Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs.

· Frequently required to walk and stand; reach with hands and arms.
· Occasionally required to sit and stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch.
· Frequently lift and or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Education and Experience
· High School diploma or GED
· Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in quality assurance and/or control.
· Training in general industry safety.
