About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Academic Officer (CAO) and Regional Executive Dean to lead and oversee its academic mission. The successful candidate will be an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or D.O. with significant experience in academic medicine, including the oversight of medical education programs. The role involves leading all aspects of the academic mission, such as educational and research programs, institutional review board, academic affiliation agreements, and continuing medical education. The CAO will be responsible for setting the strategic academic vision, ensuring compliance with regulations, and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion principles in medical education.As the head of the academic pillar for the health system, the incoming CAO will be part of the senior leadership team and will work in partnership with physician and administrative leadership to enhance the academic enterprise. The ideal candidate will have a national reputation or significant involvement in the medical education community, a record of progressive leadership, and a demonstrated track record of championing excellence, leading change, and fostering engagement. Exceptional relational and team-building skills, superb communication, and financial acumen are essential. The role requires a leader with a clear vision for advancing the academic mission in the evolving healthcare and education landscape. Responsibilities also include faculty development, recruitment of a diverse class and faculty, and growing interdisciplinary educational and clinical research.
