**Overview**

AIR is currently seeking a **Research Assistant Intern** to join AIRsHealth Division (https://www.air.org/our-work/health) during our 2024 Virtual Summer Internship Program.

AIRs 2024 Virtual Summer Internship Program is designed to identify, attract, and hire the best collegiate talent that will drive creativity and innovation, while enabling the organization to create a diverse and skilled talent pool. Spanning 10 12 weeks, AIRs paid summer program provides Interns with various learning and networking opportunities that enhance their skillset and build lasting professional connections.

Candidates hired for the position may work remotely within the United States (U.S.) or from one of ourU.S. office locations. (https://www.air.org/locations#headquarters) This does not include U.S. territories.

**Responsibilities**

The responsibilities for the position include:

Conduct literature reviews to support projects and proposals

Develop spreadsheets and databases to support project activities

Analyze quantitative and qualitative research data and contribute to the reporting and interpretation of findings

Assist with writing and proof-reading proposals and project reports

Support the annual qualified health plan (QHP) certification process for issuers participating on the Marketplace exchange

Support learning network activities for health systems to share and disseminate lessons learned related to implementation of research findings to improve the quality of care and health outcomes

Provide note taking support during client engagement meetings

**Qualifications**

**Education, Knowledge, and Experience:**

Must be a current student (for the duration of the internship)pursuing a bachelor's degree in public health, public policy, economics, or related field

Some research experience in public health, public policy, economics, or related fields is a plus but not required

**Skills:**

Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate efficiently in a virtual work environment

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when writing

Effective communicator that can work with individuals at all levels and from diverse backgrounds

Strong organizational skills

Able to learn quickly, take direction and work independently

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

This position offers $22.00 per hour. Salary offers are made based on internal equity within the organization and external equity with competitive markets. Please note this is the salary for candidates that are based in the United States.
