American Industrial Transport Inc is Hiring a Contract Specialist Near Maumee, OH

The Contract Specialist (CS) is responsible for creating, tracking, and retaining all lease contract documents per Rail Services (RS) policies and guidelines. The CS facilitates and coordinates the negotiation of various contract documents between the RS Executive Staff and customers. This also includes assisting RS stake holders with document interpretation and providing contract information when lessee disputes occur.

  • Draft, review and analyze railcar lease documents related to master lease agreements, riders, amendments, credit documents, and settlement agreements
  • Manage input of lease information and contract terms into CRM (Salesforce) and other data bases
  • Draft documents for Purchase and Sale Agreements (PSAs) and assist Portfolio Group with asset sales and acquisitions
  • Draft correspondence and settlement agreements to assist in the resolution of any lessee disputes
  • Review and analyze customer change requests (mergers, acquisitions, assignments, assumptions, subleases) to determine contract impact, manage process of, obtain proper approvals, and draft proper documentation

Experience

  • Working knowledge of general office software - Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem solving capabilities, self-motivated
  • Ability to work across multiple functions within RS
  • Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form

Education

  • Previous experience in contract negotiations and documentation
  • Paralegal experience preferred
  • Associates degree with emphasis on business, finance, or accounting
