Resident Assistant (Part Time)

Join Our Team as a Resident Assistant!

Are you passionate about providing care and companionship to seniors? Do you have a knack for building trust and rapport with those you serve? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

As a Resident Assistant, you will be an essential part of our wellness team, providing basic personal assistance to our residents to help them maintain their highest level of functional independence and psychosocial wellness. You will work under the direction and supervision of a RN or LPN, ensuring our residents’ needs are met with kindness and respect.

Key Responsibilities:

• Building rapport and establishing a trusting relationship with our residents
• Assisting residents in activities of daily living, including ambulation, transferring, showering, personal hygiene, incontinence care, feeding, and reminders
• Conducting activities with residents, either in groups or one-on-one
• Serving meals to residents and assisting with after-meal cleanup
• Keeping resident rooms clean and tidy throughout the day
• Observing residents and reporting any concerns to the Wellness Director
• Communicating with family members, visitors, and volunteers in a customer service-oriented manner

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent educational experience
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, TB test and physical
• Availability to work weekends on either 1st shift (7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.), 2nd shift (3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.), or 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.)

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

• Experience working with Seniors
• CNA certification
• Previous experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care
