American Hail Company is Hiring a R and I Tech Near Dallas, TX

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Removal & Installation Technician to join our hail repair shop team. The Removal & Installation Technician will be responsible for efficiently and effectively repairing vehicles damaged by hail, utilizing industry-standard techniques and equipment. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with automotive repair experience who are passionate about delivering high-quality results and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Assessment and Preparation:
  • Inspect vehicles for hail damage and assess the extent of repairs needed.
  • Prepare vehicles for repair by cleaning and masking affected areas.
  • Document damage and repair requirements for each vehicle.
  • Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) Techniques:
  • Utilize paintless dent repair techniques to remove dents and restore vehicle panels to their original condition.
  • Employ specialized tools and equipment to access and manipulate dented areas without affecting the vehicle's paint finish.
  • Panel Replacement and Installation:
  • Remove and replace vehicle panels that are too severely damaged for PDR.
  • Install new panels according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Ensure proper alignment and fitment of replacement panels.
  • Paint and Finish Work:
  • Prepare repaired areas for painting by sanding, priming, and masking as needed.
  • Apply paint and clear coat to repaired areas to match the vehicle's original finish.
  • Blend paint to seamlessly integrate repaired areas with surrounding panels.
  • Quality Control and Assurance:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of repaired vehicles to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Address any imperfections or deficiencies in the repair work.
  • Test drive vehicles to verify proper functionality and performance.
  • Customer Interaction and Satisfaction:
  • Communicate with customers to explain repair processes and timelines.
  • Provide updates on the status of repairs and address any customer concerns or questions.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality repairs and exceptional service.
  • Shop Maintenance and Safety:
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in automotive repair, particularly in paintless dent repair and panel replacement/installation.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools commonly used in automotive repair.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and components.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
