American Gypsum is Hiring a Mixer Operator Near Duke, OK

American Gypsum is hiring for a Mixer Operator for the Production department as a Full-Time job in Duke, Oklahoma.
The primary responsibility of the Mixer Operator is to ensure that the mixer area and production process are under control and steady-state operations are achieved. Safety and quality should always be part of the daily operation of the Mixer Operator, as well as to provide a safe workplace and to produce the highest quality product possible. The schedule is a 12-hour shift that rotates every other week, and the Mixer Operator reports to the Wet End Leadman.
Mixer Operator Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Operate in a safe manner, following all plant and departmental safety rules and procedures. 
  • Understanding all board specifications and informing the supervisor when necessary. 
  • Understanding of all product specifications Wet End Supervisor when necessary. 
  • Monitor the Limab system and notify the Wet End Supervisor when readings are out of specification. 
  • Monitor formulation to ensure accuracy. 
  • Monitor the mixer boots and skim coat hoses consistently to prevent build-up. 
  • Monitor slurry for fiberglass content as required. 
  • Conduct Iodine testing to check for starch.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Must be able to accurately read information and fill in forms. 
  • Must be able to operate a computer, input information, and read data.  
  • Majority of the job requires very little physical exertion.  
  • Wet working environment; water and gypsum slurry.
