Compensation: $45.62 – 47.44 hourly

Job Description

• Maintain and operate Turbine and diesel-powered generators to supply electricity to the Board Plant
• Troubleshoot various electrical problems within the Cogen plant
• Perform trip point/calibration of Cogen plant equipment
• Track and maintain testing of electrical PPE and equipment at Cogen
• Track and complete VEO Reports for Cogen
• Assists in estimating, designing, procuring and installing parts for a variety of electrical projects
• Maintain NFPA compliance
• Schedules heavy electrical planned maintenance tasks including transformer oil sampling, Cogen breaker and relay testing, 480-volt switchboard testing, 4160-volt switchgear testing.
• Assists and/or performs routine HVAC maintenance
• Assists in maintaining data necessary for Cogen environmental compliance
• Participate in plant safety programs
• Other tasks as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, twisting and bending
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs
• Ability to operate power tools such as wrenches, sockets, drills
• Ability to communicate via email, phone, and/or radio
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Knowledge

• Willing to learn PLC troubleshooting and minor ladder logic control work
• Ability to read and understand electrical blueprints, wiring schematics and diagrams
• Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Education and Experience

• High School Graduate or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• At least 1 year experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Vocational training in electrical duties or relevant job experience
