Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Maintenance Foreman at American Gilsonite Company is a critical member of the maintenance department. They are responsible for assisting with the daily activities. The Foreman must lead the maintenance team to ensure optimal performance. This role requires an individual with a drive to constantly improve the processes at AGC. Guided by AGC's core values of personal responsibility, clear communication, and a relentless pursuit of excellence, the Maintenance Foreman plays a pivotal role in maintaining operational efficiency and safety. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Leadership: Maintaining close interactions with the maintenance technicians assisting in training, safety, completion of tasks, and eliminating obstacles.
• Maintenance Planning: Work with managers and employees to help create a comprehensive scope of work & schedules, considering equipment needs, technicians, job requirements, available resources, and operation priorities.
• Resource Allocation: Collaborate with maintenance team to allocate resources, personnel, and materials effectively for scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Coordination: Work closely with maintenance technicians and supervisors to coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruptions to operations.
• Communication: Communicate maintenance schedules, priorities, and changes to relevant teams, ensuring clear understanding and alignment.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance, breakdowns, and incidents. Research and compiling information to improve the maintenance technician's effectiveness.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for optimizing maintenance processes, resource allocation, and building the skills of the maintenance group.
• Enforcement: Responsible for cultivating safe work practices and areas. Assist in the enforcement of responsible workmanship.
