The Senior American Freight Repair Specialist is responsible for the preparation of merchandise into saleable, functioning condition through inspection, testing and repair. Senior American Freight Repair Specialist is also responsible for the performance of cosmetic repairs on appliances and merchandise. The Senior American Freight Repair Specialist works directly with a team of hourly associates. The Senior American Freight Repair Specialist abides by the Code of Business Conduct and overall business practices with the highest level of integrity. The Senior American Freight Repair Specialist must have day, evening and weekend availability to work.

Job Duties:

• Assists in the unit's repair operations to ensure achievement of business goals in expenses, payroll and Associate productivity
• Partners with the Senior American Freight Repair Specialist Lead and Assistant Store Manager of Operations to ensure full implementation of Corporate programs and initiatives on productivity
• Ensures products that require testing and mechanical evaluation are processed and all cosmetic repairs are performed to restore products to sellable condition
• Takes ownership for full implementation of Corporate programs and initiatives on productivity and Associate morale
• Develops partnerships with Product Repair Service units
• Maintains processes for order and tracking parts for product repair
• Understands and communicates activities/trends in the unit and unique local issues to Management
• Ensures that the Repair department adheres to safety policies and procedures
• Ensures that the unit operates in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations and Company ethics policies
• Maintains facilities and housekeeping
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs. on a daily basis
• Strong drive for results
• Action oriented with strong execution skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Knowledge of store and retail operations
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to pay attention to detail
