Description: AFC Urgent Care is looking for a medical assistant with exceptional customer service skills to become part of our team. American Family Care is the leading provider of urgent care with more than 200 nationally and ranked but Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in the U.S.
- Greet patients in a professional, attentive, and friendly manner by phone and in person.
- Perform patient scheduling, registration, and discharge functions.
- Perform triage and room newly registered patients.
- Assist Providers with direct patient care to include procedures, injections and lab draws.
- Perform POC lab testing, electrocardiogram and other diagnostic tests ordered by the Provider. Perform patient callbacks, follow-up, and appointment reminder calls.Requirements include:
- Day shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
- BLS (Preferred)
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) (Preferred)
- Phlebotomy (Preferred)
Medical Assistant Certificate
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Must be willing to work weekends and some afternoon (2-8pm) shifts. We are open 8am-8pm, 7 days a week.
