American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the global leader in providing payments solutions for small, medium, and large businesses.

The Enterprise Banking Center of Excellence is a new group within Global Commercial Services. The formation of this group brings together the product development functions of consumer and commercial banking under one roof enabling us to drive consistency and efficiency in how we roll out products and experiences.

How will you make an impact in this role?

The will focus on improving the end-to-end debit card experience, from issuance to POS usage, through new features and capabilities.

Key responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with product owner partners to define the debit product roadmap and refine the backlog
  • Participate in product ideation and research with a focus on debit card usage and identifying opportunities for innovation
  • Focus on product prioritization and validation while focusing on driving the bank’s KPIs
  • Engage with stakeholders across the bank (Risk, Compliance, etc) to create detailed requirements for the prioritized products and capabilities
  • Leverage problem statements, user stories, mockups, and wireframes to clearly present the capability to developers and other key team members
  • Have a passion for optimizing the customer experience and innovating financial technologies.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Project, and External Partners to deliver impactful new features, driving adherence to target launch dates as much as possible
  • Drive product validation management process for product and feature releases

Minimum Qualifications :

  • 1 years of experience in relevant fields
  • Enthusiasm for exceptional products and services, able to empathize with customers, and skilled at articulation of product functionality
  • Understanding of tech and product development processes, known as a businessperson who can speak both tech and business languages
  • Curiosity and hunger to know how things work and ability to use that knowledge to make connections and find opportunities with an entrepreneurial mindset and bias toward action
  • Excellent communication skills across distributed and global teams with ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners to drive collaboration and alignment
  • Highly organized, taking individual initiative and accountability for getting results
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience in new product development, product management, or payments.
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with banking deposit products preferred.
  • Experience working with external partners / vendors preferred.
  • Data analysis / SQL skills preferred.

Salary Range : to annually bonus benefits
