Position Summary :

We are looking for an Installation Crew Supervisor , a skilled foreman for installation of Overhead Cranes and Structures.

The position leads our experienced field erectors in the installation / erecting of new equipment.

Required Skills :

  • Knowledge and skills of erecting steel structural components, I-beams and box girders
  • Rigging experience and skills to safely install crane components, hoists and trolleys
  • Ability to communicate with employees and various business partners in a professional and courteous manner
  • Able to understand oral and written communication
  • Able to meet physical requirements of the job
  • Knowledge of Lock out / Tag out Process & Industrial knowledge of tools and ability to use hand and power tools is preferred
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work outside for long periods of time

Additional Requirements :

  • Must be able to reliably report for work at remote job sites.
  • Must demonstrate quality workmanship.
  • Complete our required safety modules.
  • Must make safety a high priority and lead by example.

Tasks

While not all inclusive, the following is a list of task to be performed.

  • Perform all duties assigned by the Service Manager and or Project Manager
  • Engage in morning safety tailgate meeting
  • Help identify, mitigate, or eliminate hazards on the jobsite
  • Be aware of the dangers associated with hazardous atmospheres
  • Follow all Safety policies and procedures
  • Verify good working order of all equipment, tools, and machinery prior to use
  • Clean up job site at the end of the day and ensure all equipment is properly secure
  • Read specifications or blueprints to determine the locations, quantities, or sized of material required
  • Unload and position prefabricated steel units for hoisting as needed
  • Erect steel frames : Connect columns, beams, girders, cee and zee secondary members with bolts, following blueprints and instructions from supervisors
  • Assemble hoisting equipment or rigging, including cables, pulleys and hooks, to structural steel members, to ensure easy and safe movement
  • Hoist steel beams, girders, or columns into place, using cranes or signaling hoisting equipment operators to lift and position structural steel members
  • Using hand tools, pull, push or pry structural steel members into approximate positions for bolting into place
  • Make sure all pieces are fitted properly and complete repairs as necessary
  • Must work at heights of 30 feet or higher above ground level
