Responsibilities in this Role:

• Lead daily operations within a Pathology and Laboratory Medicine division, overseeing staffing, scheduling, coaching, and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to staff development, performance evaluation, and ensuring quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with senior staff to maintain division readiness for accreditation and licensure.
• Engage with other departments and committees to address issues and drive quality improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and educate laboratory interns/residents and contribute to developing operational plans.
• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests while maintaining quality assurance protocols.
• Participate in problem-solving activities and corrective action procedures to ensure accurate results.

Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

• Baccalaureate degree with ASCP Board of Registry specialist certification or equivalent.
• Preferably a Master's degree in a relevant field.

Experience:

• Five years of clinical experience with at least three years in a specialized area.
• Supervisory and teaching experience, along with professional involvement in committees and conferences, is advantageous.
