Summary/Objective

The A/R prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable. Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions. This position will oversee accounts receivable to ensure money received correctly.

Essential Functions

• Collect payments from lockbox and accurately record them in Net Suite.
• Work directly with customers on invoice dispute resolution.
• Investigate payment disputes when necessary.
• Reviews accounts and recommends for charge-off as appropriate.
• Keep A/R Aging current with no past due further than 60 days.
• Ensures the security and privacy of customer information and files.
• Update customer account information on payment or contact information when necessary.
• Mail monthly recurring invoices and monthly statements.
• Call customers to receive past due payments by phone.
• Sort and distribute incoming mail.
• Generates reports as requested from management.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Required Education, Experience and Abilities

• At least 5 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable and credit/collections work.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at once while ensuring quality and accuracy.
