The American Dental Education Association (ADEA) seeks to add a talented Senior Manager of Web Design and Digital Experience to its team.

The Senior Manager of Web Design and Digital Experience oversees website content management and design in line with the organization’s communications priorities and goals. Tasks primarily relate to providing timely, consistent, creative updates and enhancements to adea.org, adea.org/godental and adea.org/adeagiesfoundation websites while ensuring they are visually compelling, elevate association’s brand and help drive engagement. This position focuses on optimizing digital journeys with a results-oriented and mobile-friendly approach, while managing multiple web projects. The Senior Manager reports to the Vice President of Marketing and Branding. This position does not currently have any direct reports.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manages and executes the day-to-day front-end operation and ongoing optimization of multiple websites (adea.org, adea.org/godental, adea.org/adeagiesfoundation and address any real-time issues.
• Designs copy layout, landing pages, interactive visuals and other digital assets within branding guidelines and style guides.
• Improves ADEA’s website performance by maintaining web standards and UX best practices.
• Looks for continuous improvements of Content Management System (CMS) and trains staff on CMS as needed.
• Collaborates on short-term and long-term visions and strategies for website enhancements.
• Maintains the site section and folders of all websites to ensure orderly system.
• Manages content and postings on the website in close coordination with department cross-divisional colleagues.
• Creates digital assets to support communications priorities and builds out event and program pages of the website(s) in concert with marketing plans.
• Monitors web content for currency, consistency, accuracy and alignment with division and organization-wide priorities.
• Provides consultative support for new digital technology implementations and integration.
• Keeps up to date with the latest digital marketing trends and tools.
• Provides Google Analytics reporting for the ADEA and ADEA GoDental websites on an ongoing basis to guide digital strategy optimization and articulate the reason for strategy to the staff.
• Makes budget recommendations related to website and digital communications.
• Develops SOPs and web content calendars.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in digital media/technology, communications, marketing or a liberal arts field required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in digital project management, website management, digital marketing and/or website optimization. An advanced degree may be substituted for work experience. Substantive experience at the manager level is required.
• Experience in membership associations desired.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while remaining detail and deadline focused.
• Experience with supervision of others preferred.
• Exceptional communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate technological information to non-technical staff.
• Highly organized and able to quickly prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention-to-detail, editing, organizational and project management skills required.
• Ability to synthesize information for reporting and make recommendations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JS, and website analytics tools like the Google Suite (Analytics, Optimize, Search Console, and Tag Manager).
• Experience with Sitefinity (CMS) association management systems (AMS) and email marketing platforms.
• Self-starter who looks to expand their knowledge and capabilities in web content strategy digital marketing.
• Web development experience preferred.
• Website accessibility and mobile app development experience a plus.
• Ability to work successfully in a diverse team environment and collaborate effectively with others.
• Ability to travel to member meetings to support ADEA events as needed, including some weekends.
